Hauzer Opens Japanese Branch

Hauzer spreads its wings in Japan. After the joining of the Japanese IHI Group in April 2008, Hauzer opened in April 2009 its Japanese branch in Yokohama. “The new branch provides local support to our customers and training by competent Japanese engineers,” Frans Blom, Sales Director Asia Pacific, explains. “In future, as soon as the economic situation improves, the next step is to install a turn key PVD coating centre for sampling and development in Yokohama.”
In Japan, Hauzer is already well-known as a supplier of PVD and PACVD coating technology and equipment, mainly for the automotive industry and tool manufacturers. But the new branch opens up possibilities. “We see many new opportunities for our coatings now that we are actually present in Japan”, says Frans Blom. “The distance from The Netherlands to Japan has so far not prevented us from being successful in Japan, but being able to support our customers by Japanese engineers will make the life of our customers a lot easier.” The Japanese branch is located in Yokohama. Frans Blom: “We want to share our knowledge about PVD and PACVD technology and equipment with our customers. Doing this in the local culture and language will improve our partnership.”
